Have a look to see if it's still there or not there but with traces. Should be easy. Disconnect your battery, unplug the reg/rect. and connect your meter (set to ohms) red lead to any of the three wires that go to the stator, black lead to frame ground. With starter disconnected connect an ohm meter set to 2 ohm setting connect one lead to where the red lead was hooked up and the other to the body.
